Electronics Engineer – PCB Design and Embedded Software Development

We are seeking an individual with a strong hardware engineering background, coupled with the ability to excel in software development when required.

You will work in close collaboration with our team of engineers over the full design life-cycle; contributing your ideas and undertaking creative problem-solving from product concept to development, validation to manufacture, and market release.

About you

You need to have a relevant tertiary qualification in Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering. 

As an Electronics Engineer at Lune Digital, you will play a key role in designing and testing custom PCBs for a wide range of projects and markets, and contributing to embedded software development. 

To be suitable for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the skills and experience outlined below:

• An excellent ability to understand product requirements, and translate them into a design which is efficient, reliable and manufacturable.
• Electronic circuit design including component selection, analysis, simulation, schematic design, PCB layout, prototyping, debugging, documenting and validation testing.
• Altium Design experience is preferred.
• Experience with ARM-based MCUs and peripherals such as Timers, ADC, DAC, etc.
• Knowledge of wired and wireless communication protocols including UART, SPI, BLE, etc.
• Experience in analog and digital signal processing.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment such as DMMs, Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
• Competency in computing technology and the ability to solve computer-related issues.
• Competency in C/C++ programming languages.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to work both unsupervised, and with others in a team.
• A good approach to systematic problem solving and root cause analysis.
• A Commitment to delivering quality results cost-effectively.
• A desire to learn new skills and technologies and share knowledge with the rest of the team.
